Apple has added relevant rules for NFT products, officially allowing NFT products to be launched on the App Store, but at the same time, the rules also present many restrictions on NFT products. The most concerned one is the "30% handling fee" that cannot be bypassed.

Apps can use in-app purchases to sell and sell NFT-related services such as minting, listing, and transfers.

Apps may allow users to view their own NFTs, provided that ownership of the NFTs does not unlock features or functionality within the App.

Apps may allow users to browse collections of NFTs owned by others, provided the Apps do not include buttons, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers* to purchase mechanisms other than in-app purchases.

The update of this rule first officially clarified that overseas developers can launch NFT products on the App Store, that is, "Apps can use in-app purchases to sell and sell NFT-related services, such as casting, listing, and transfer."

Secondly, while allowing the launch, it also revealed the restrictions on the launch of the NFT platform:

For example, ownership of NFT cannot unlock App features or functions, that is, "App may allow users to view their own NFTs, provided that ownership of NFTs does not unlock features or functions in the App."

NFT products cannot guide/allow users to use third-party payment to make purchases (that is, they must pay Apple's 30% handling fee), that is, "Apps can allow users to browse NFT collections owned by others, provided that these apps do not include buttons, external links , or other call-to-action that directs customers* to purchase mechanisms other than in-app purchases.”
